Summary: MultiQC aggregates results from multiple bioinformatics analyses across many samples into a single report. It searches a given directory for analysis logs and compiles a HTML report. It's a general use tool, perfect for summarising the output from numerous bioinformatics tools.
"Error: no local variable "counter" was set." is not a number.
Description
Quality control is critical for anyone involved in next generation sequencing research. Analysis pipelines typically produce numerous log files giving a summary of their analysis. Checking these numbers manually is very time consuming and prone to errors.
MultiQC works by scanning results directories and collecting log files. It summarises this information in a single report describing all samples and all bioinformatics tools. This allows fast interpretation of the pipeline results and highlights any anomalous samples. Parsed data is also saved as TSV / JSON / YAML files. At the time of writing, MultiQC can parse logs from 23 common bioinformatics tools, with more planned for the future. MultiQC is a versatile tool that is easy to install, run and extend.
MultiQC has recently been published in Bioinformatics (DOI: 10.1093/bioinformatics/btw354). Find out more at http://multiqc.info
